Hi All,<br><br>I've posted my lirc battle here a week ago, and am pleased to let you know, it's all working. After some searching through the logs I found that the lirc_serial module did not want to load. The error was "kobject_add failed for lirc_serial.0 with -EEXIST, don't try to register things with the same name in the same directory." Which found to be quite vague.<br>
<br>I was not able to find any info on the WEB, or narrow down the failure more so I gave the Nova-S IR receiver a go. Funnily enough all the number keys already worked, without LIRC even running so I was majorly confused. So after more research I found that there is actually a keyboard for the Nova-S IR receiver, and it works out of the box with X! Nice of course, but I decided that LIRC gives a bit more flexibiliity.<br>
<br>So I tried to get lirc to work, and struggled a bit. I found a simple mistake in my lirc.conf and now it's a all go.<br><br>Cheers,<br>Johan.<br>
