[mythtvnz] Is it finally time to say goodbye to MythTV

I have done this and can confirm it works great. Currently using windows 10 and Hyper-V for the MythTV virtual machine, which is a MythBuntu install, HD Homerun for the capture card.
The storage drive 10TB is connected to the Windows 10 machine, with a folder shared for media, music and MythTV. The appropriate shares are mapped to the MythTV VM
MythTV does the schedule/TV guides via OTA updates.

You can watch live TV from inside the VM, but there is no sound, and HD channels skip/drop frames, it enough to check that it is all working, setup cards etc.

Frontend is a Raspberry PI 3B running LibreELEC (KODI) with the MythTV PVR Client addon for Live TV/Recordings.
You can set timers and recording schedules from inside Kodi, but I prefer to use the MythWeb interface.

Works well for me

Cheers,
  Craig
