I think I have found the problem.I did another search for tv_grab_nz-py
and found that the text editor I used seems to have made backup copies of
the original files,in both locations,named: tv_grab_nz-py~ .
I deleted these backups and ran mythfilldatabase -v xmltv and got this:

2013-03-16 14:05:54.164031 I Updating source #1 (Freeview) with grabber
tv_grab_nz-py~
2013-03-16 14:05:54.164260 I Found 31 channels for source 1 which use
grabber
2013-03-16 14:05:54.164459 I Starting process manager
2013-03-16 14:05:54.164521 I Starting process signal handler
2013-03-16 14:05:54.165321 I Starting IO manager (read)
2013-03-16 14:05:54.165389 I Starting IO manager (write)
2013-03-16 14:05:54.264825 E tv_grab_nz-py~ --capabilities failed or we
timed out waiting. You may need to upgrade your xmltv grabber
2013-03-16 14:05:54.264874 E Grabbing XMLTV data using tv_grab_nz-py~ is
not supported. You may need to upgrade to the latest version of XMLTV.
2013-03-16 14:05:54.265842 N Data fetching complete.
2013-03-16 14:05:54.265892 I Adjusting program database end times.

I now do not get 'XMLTV:FAILED returned error code 1' but I get:
Mythfilldatabase ran,but did not insert any new data in the Guide for 1 of
1 sources.This can indicate a grabber failure.

Paul
