Hi Hadley.

Do you have the WiFi card in there too?  A lot of the cooling problems seems be caused the WiFi card being jammed practically hard against the SSD.  I bought the wrong version - I wouldn't need the WiFi if I had an ethernet port, and probably wouldn't have as much trouble with cooling.

Are you definitely using VAAPI for the decoding?  I'm not sure how you verify that with XMBC.  I haven't yet tried XBMC with Myth recordings - that would be a useful test.
