[mythtvnz] Basic question - do I need mythfrontend open in order to record?

Or Control F2 to switch desktops and keep the frontend running, especially when you don't have any other programs open to Alt-Tab into. Great when doing maintenance and keeping MythMusic going, lol. Control F1 to bring back the first desktop (MythFrontend).
Great trick for when the front end hangs and your better half needs to restart the system with minimal technical knowledge (or a root password), so long as nothing's recording on the backend that is.

you can also just switch to another program, eg alt-tab
