[mythtvnz] DVD doesn't want to play in a bluray player

Could just be you don't have libdvdread/libcss installed go here:

the mediaubuntu repository is probably also worth adding

I am assuming you are using ubuntu

sudo apt-get --quiet update && sudo apt-get --yes --quiet
--allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get
--quiet update && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
