Especially when one considers that the flash image is largely dumped 
into RAM on a frontend and from there it happens within the RAM, at 
which point the drive speed becomes immaterial, the CPU, Bus, RAM, and 
video card become the speed determinants.  I've run 4 8G 133x CF cards 
now and none have faulted so far, and the price just keeps going down if 
one does....

The benefits of a SSD is one does not need to (should not need to?) 
fiddle with the noatime settings and it is even faster = faster boot 
times. If resuming from standby the benefit is negligible, still you 
take your choice and pay your money!
