I've had issues with new releases of Ubuntu for the last couple of 
iterations with ipv6.  My problems seem to relate to my modem not being 
able to handle dns requests to AAAA addresses (ipv6 addresses).  If your 
issue is similar you could run your own DNS server and see if that 
helps.   HTH
