[mythtvnz] ffmpeg transcoding in MythTV

My mythburn logs show a audio codec mismatch ?
The error info is confusing to the non-user.

Ffmpeg seems to recognise the h.264 AVC file/stream & identifies the
LATM & AC3 audio.

I guess identifying the type & then doing something are two separate things.
Have never used VLC.

Have spent sometime trying (failing) to understand mpeg-4 LATM etc..
Does the LATM container contain/mux the 2ch AAC & the multi- ch AC3 ?
Can the LATM container hold any audio format ?
Is this the point of LATM ? to mux multiple alternative audio tracks ?

Can there be multiple audio & video streams muxed in the main h.264 AVC
stream ?

If ffmpeg command line option was to use AC3 audio (TV3) could it be
able to transcode ?
I guess the answer lies in the answer to the LATM question above.

I noticed that a 'dev' on mplayer was suggesting dumping use of libfaad
(LATM patch) because (he stated) ffmpeg does LATM now.
There were many corrections posted...

With Norway, Denmark & parts of UK using LATM with DVB service this
support might come a bit sooner.

Thanks.
