1 Tbyte drives have been well less than $300 for quite some time now.
And the good ones are capable of significantly more than 100 Mibytes/s
sustained throughput.  1.5 Tbyte drives are well below $200 now also.
2 Tbyte drives are still a little expensive, but coming down now.
