Can you describe your storage setup.. - Raid? - Number and types of Hard Drive interface (Sata/IDE/etc)? - Any networked drives? - S.M.A.R.T. enabled on the Motherboard? - What does /var/log/dmesg say about storage when it gets detected? - Any extra messages in dmesg after a long pause?
