Well, I just finished building a myth box with a 1TB drive, Zotac ION-ITX, 
2GB ram, and a Nova-TD dual USB DVB-T receiver. I put it in a case with 
Silverstone ML-02 case which has a VFD and uses a power brick. I also added
a slim DVD drive.

All up about $1200. The case and DVD was $435 so I guess you could quite
easily do it in a cheaper case for a similar price.
