[mythtvnz] Trouble with mythtv and nvidia after update today

There was a nvidia update waiting on my ubuntu-jaunty box this morning 
and without thinking twice I actioned it.  Thereafter mythtv stopped 
working completely, cannot get into back or front ends.

I have completely un-installed mythtv and re-installed to no avail.

I get the following error message....any help or pointers much appreciated
