[mythtvnz] CF card as system drive

What is the opinion on this writing of temporary-files to a ram-disk, 
with respect to mythTV?
I currently have 2GB of ram and 3GHz single core processor with a 256MB 
video card.  I run SD from 2xDVBS cards.
