[mythtvnz] 0.22 and HVR-4000

Has anyone got DVB-T +/- DVB-S working from this card on 0.22, preferably on mythbuntu 9.10?

On  a clean 9.10 install I find it scans, signal strength levels vary seemingly appropriately however it fails to lock with messages 
"Timed out, no signal" finally coming up with "Failed to find any channels".  I've maxed out the delay to 2000 as for the 500T, 
still no help.
