Well to heap further confusion on the pile 

I ordered a NOVA-T-500 fromm Ascent about 12 months ago.

The package that arrived pictured a card with a single ariel input but the box 
was labeled "Dual Tuner"

The box was originally printed with the model Designation WinTV-NOVA-T-500 
model 289and a barcode number of 7 85428 00289 7

This printing was covered up by a label with that said WinTV-Nova_T-500-HD 
with the barcode now stating 7 85428 00298 9.

I just wacked it in my PC and it worked first go. The remote works fine but 
there is no reference to FM radio.

Two other labels on the box were 

1 Assembled in Indonesia (Instead of Assembled in Malaysia)

2 HD High Definition MPEG-2/-4 HDTV Ready.

So I got a HD card in a modified SD box is how I read all this.

In your case I wonder what the D stands for after the T  I can see that you 
might be concerned that at stands for Diversity.

Would not know how to advise you further.
