[mythtvnz] Live TV Hangs on Programme Change

I have just developed a problem I am having trouble nailing down. When 
watching Live TV (does not happen any other time) at programme change-over the 
TV will freeze. I can exit to menu and restart Live TV no problem. Looking at 
the frontend log at the point where it freezes shows:

The last line is the last backend entry before Live TV hangs.

I have googled and found a few suggestions relating to the NVP messages which 
suggest the problem is with deleting expiring programmes and turning on 'slow 
delete' to avoid I/O problems, which makes no difference. There was some 
programme expiry going on during earlier hangs, but as you can see from the 
above log entries, not in this case.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on where else 	I should look for clues?
