Depending on your key bindings...  I press a which brings up "Adjust 
Time Stretch" then press right-arrow till its an appropriate speed.

1.2 or 1.25 is about right for most programmes I watch
Would be fantastic to set that as a default.


Movies I tend to watch at 1x or no faster than 1.1x because timing is 
generally more intentional.


On a side-note - does anyone ever watch playback slower than 1x ?
