Hi Bret,

welcome. I'm a newbie too, I've got a reasonably well working backend with analogue and digital tuners. I'm still learning lots about MythTV, but so far I am very impressed with both MythTV and Linux. I am just starting to work on an HD capable front end in an HTPC case.

Cheers

Steve

Subject: [mythtvnz] Newbee to MythTv

Hi I've been a windows user for years. Thought its was time for a change and spotted this site and took note of all the components used to build a very interesting box and ended with :
Asus P5Q mother board
2.4 quad core chip
Asus Nvidia 9600 Pci Ex graphics card
2 X 2 gig Kingston ram
Hauppauge WinTv nova-500-HD Pci card
Enermax power supply
My software skills are poor so all the help I can get would be great. Many of my windows friends are showing an interest in this project.

Cheers Bret
