[mythtvnz] MythTV backend requirements for NZ Freeview?

Looking at what I need to run up just a MythTV backend that is capable of
recording DVB-T NZ Freeview, can I just use the default mythtv builds on
Ubuntu or do I need to be looking at using some of the fixed repos like
JYA's or the fixes repo from Mythbuntu?

Frontend is going to utilise the working happening in the XBMC (
http://www.teirney.net/blog/2009/06/08/new-zealand-freeviewhd-running-on-xbmc-from-myth-tv)
but just looking at solving the backend problem first.
