Audio sync problems are often caused by LCD or plasma TVs.  These do
considerable computation before displaying a frame, and that takes
time.  My Panasonic TX-32LX70A seems to take about 120 ms.  When the
sound is coming from the TV speakers, the TV delays the sound to
match, but if it is coming from the MythTV audio output, you have to
adjust the delay to match the TV.
