[mythtvnz] Problem with new Gentoo kernel

Today I updated, using the make oldconfig method (done it heaps of times) to 
kernel-2.6.15-gentoo-r1

I now realise that the new kernel had to have three more modules selected and 
the latest ivtv rebuilt.

Now I cannot remember how to tune the tuner and I cannot find a good howto.

Any offers?
