Hi all

Just found the list, so here goes:

Finally 'completed' (is that possible?) a long held ambition to build a myth
box. Using an HP VL400 small form factor PC (fanless PIII 866), 384MB ram,
PVR350 with TV Out and a 20GB (!) disk. I used KnoppMyth for the ease of
installation and recommend it for a new project if its going to be devoted
to the task. I used version R5A22, and it basically worked out of the box,
although I had to manually tweak:

1) The remote (Hauppauge)

2) Samba

3) TV Out on the PVR350

4) EPG (thanks hairy.geek)

5) Wireless networking (recommend Genius GW-7200PCI as cheap 802.11g and
works with ACX111 driver)

Everything else has just worked (after the initial setup/config via the
MythTV screens of course).

So now the box is sitting quietly beside the TV. Haven't used the VCR for
weeks. My wife even managed to record a show by herself the other night :-D

Next step is to upgrade the HDD - even after transcoding down to mpg4, 20GB
fills up pretty quick, so I don't keep anything for long. Still, beats the
pants off a shelf of video tapes...

Nick
