[MCC-Thursday] Meeting next week - image processing

Morning all

One of the ideas we discussed at the last meeting was for us to each process a number of images independently and then share the different results with the wider group next Thursday.

If you are interested in participating I need one image from you that will then be shared with the other participants for them to process independently.  If we aim for say 7 participants then we will end up with a total of 49 images to review on the night (7 images each processed by 7 individuals!).  I don’t want to impact too much on Paul’s full and carefully planned/timed agenda...!

If you are interested in participating please drop me an email and upload your image to the shared drive below. Given that we all use Lightroom or something similar I’m happy to start with either a raw or a full res jpeg file for maximum flexibility, with final output at the club standard 1600 x 1200.  I’ll confirm the final list (if we have too many) and circulate them as soon as possible so you can all start processing in good time, along with instructions for saving the finished images.  I’ll then pull them all together for a presentation on the night.

Dave and I did this with the 7pm group last season and it was a very good way of discovering different interpretations of the image.  Please be prepared to offer a brief explanation of why & how you processed each image as you did at the meeting.  It is a great way to show off and share your processing skills with the wider group so I expect it to be a fully interactive session on the night.
