The London Barndance video project for October is Chekassia Kfula.
It is a circle or line dance from the Balkan area. You don't need a
partner so it is ideal for dancing in lockdown or with as many people
as you can drag in! Chekassia has been the traditional last dance
at the Inter-Varsity Folk Dance Festival since 1982, when Stan Warren
called it at Reading.
Linda Moon teaches the dance with music played by Jo Veal:

Have a go, and please send us a video. You can dance to the music in
the video above or get the whole track from Jo here:

We also have an MP3 audio file, which is handy for dancing where the
Internet does not reach:

Upload your video to this Google Album (you need a Google account):

If you cannot use that, then send us the file by some other method (email
probably won't work as videos are too big!) We will make a composite
video with short clips from everyone and we will show it during the next
virtual dance on 10th October.
Please send your video before 5th October as it takes quite a while to
do the editing!
Thanks
Andrew & Jane
