[LBC-news] LBC August: Dance the Swedish Masquerade!

The August Extra London Barndance online event is rushing up!
We will be live on Zoom at 19:50 on Saturday 8th August with
Unusual Bands and several callers.

You still have time to contribute to the video project:
it is Swedish Masquerade this month, which is an easy couple dance in
three parts. Have a go this weekend, as we really need to start
putting it together on Wednesday. You can see the contributions so far
in the google album linked below.

Mark and Faye have made a video for us to show how the dance goes,
with music from Ali and Audrey.

There is plenty of music there for you to dance to, starting about half
way through.

Give it a try, and send us a video. See if you can get some extra zest
into it - most of the videos on the net are rather tame and arthritic:
contra dancers can do better!

Put a smartphone or camera near the loudspeaker and set it to film you
dancing for a minute or two. Make sure that some of the music comes
through on the video.

If you cannot use that, then send us the file by some other method (email
probably won't work as videos are too big!)  We will make a composite
video with short clips from everyone and we will show it during the next
virtual dance on 8th August.

Please send your video before 4th August, as it takes quite a while to
do the editing!
