Resilience and efficiency in data centres - Matt Flowerday, Capitoline

Thursday 28 May 2015 - 19.00 for 19.30

Almost everyone and every organisation relies on IT services. The
increasing demand for these services has fuelled a growing market for
data centres where large scale IT installations are supported by
sophisticated power and cooling systems designed to keep them running
24 hours a day 7 days a week. Because we are all so reliant on these
services and because they consume so much energy it is essential that
the infrastructure supporting them is both resilient and energy
efficient. This presentation will look at how these key issues are
addressed and how the data centre industry is changing.

This event is free of charge and open to all, with refreshments at
19.00, lecture at 19:30. Contact: Dr Richard Mitchell
