The Internet has run out, long live the Internet!

Adrian Kennard - Andrews & Arnold Ltd and Firebrick Ltd.

The old Internet (IPv4) has finally run out of address space. The new
Internet (IPv6) is not just a change to a technical protocol standard
but much more. This talk covers the range of issues from what IPv6
actually is to what business owners and managers might need to do
about it in the coming months and years.

Where do IP addresses come from?

What is different about IPv6?

What ways can we extend the life of IPv4 and will it work?

What do Internet providers have to do?

What do businesses have to do?

What do consumers have to do?

This event is free of charge and open to all, with refreshments at 19.00.
