Following refreshments after the conclusion of the AGM, 

 

Colin Mantripp, Master Carver, will give a talk entitled ' The Magic Art of
Craftsmanship' with slides and actual examples to show the range of work he
and his team of artists and craftsmen at the Lillyfee Woodcarving Studio
have carried out since 1994 both nationally and internationally. 

 

Two recent examples are repairs to the Font Cover for St Mary's Church in
Beaconsfield and the lectern in memory of the late Brian Leeson in St
Nicolas' Church, Taplow.

 

The Lillyfee Studio is in redundant farm buildings at Wooburn Green - tucked
away behind the Royal Sovereign, effectively on our doorstep but virtually
unknown locally.

 

Colin Mantripp is frequently invited to lecture at the The Victoria and
Albert Museum on various aspects of woodcarving and restoration. He also
runs Wood Carving & Antique Restoration Workshops and Courses at the
Lillyfee Studio.
