Good meeting last night. Puts me in mind of Henry V:

And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

although I suppose we could loose the gender references and change the 
last line to 'That made presentations with us upon Software Freedom 
Day.'

Anyway - I can be there the whole day.

Getting started on a poster - I'll post a link. Some things I thought we 
could include:

Foss - what is it good for?
    - Liberty, Freedom and the pursuit of happines ...
Foss for Entertainment
    - MythTV, VLC, Clemintine - I don't play games ..
Foss for Education
    - Edubuntu, Moodle, Schooltool, Koha,
Foss for NGO's and Community
     - elgg, civicrm, ...
Foss for Business
     - Feng Office, Zurmo, SugarCRM, GnuCash, ...
Foss for Publishing
     - Inkscape, Scribus, Gimp, ...
Foss for Video
     - OpenShot, KDEenlive, slideshow maker whose name escapes me, DVD 
Author whose name escapes me :-) ...
Software Freedom Day 2014 - what's the point?
    - should we be 'Data Freedom Day', 'Internet Freedom Day', ...

The 'Foss for ...' would just be a quick run through of some software. 
Also - my machine is not really up to doing anything much with Video. 
Just some short clips to show OpenShot, making a slide show, making a 
DVD - but it take my machine a long time to render these things.

If anyone has any other ideas, let me know. Also, while I can give a 
quick run-through of this stuff, I will bow to the expertise of anybody 
on any of these :-)

I'll try to get a draft poster done today. Final version tomorrow, so 
people can print out and post places (libraries, supermarkets ... ) over 
the weekend.
