No, none externally visible. Residual chipset is all I can think of - 
there is a parallel port.

That is simply to confirm that a different method of installing (than 
untarring Voyage.tbz into place) could not have led to serial_cs being 
included. Otherwise, running the installer - as you recommended - would 
(and may yet) prove easier. But since the current Voyage kernel was 
deficient, the installer would not change the situation.

I'll have to go back thru more logs for quotes, but there has never been 
any problem initialising the cardbus modem under any version of Ubuntu 
(4.10, 5.4, 5.10).
