it appears that the search form searches all over the site, which
includes areas that require login. when i search for "linux" i get a lot
of links that are open (eg 2nd and 4th). the closed ones all start with
/associate/ which presumably is an area reserved for associate members.

it is somewhat odd though to have private areas appear in a public search.
