About the only real use I have for FreeDOS at the moment is checking
the validity of the eicar virus test file.
FreeDOS itself is generally very capable, and quite actively developed.
And GPL'd of course.
It makes a good platform from which to play the old DOS games, like
Wolfenstein :-)
