Sue your messages are still saying you are in timezone "-0700" which is
somewhere west of the mid-western US I think.

SuSE does not have all the normal timezones (well it doesn't have
Pacific/Auckland) in its YAST program, which is one of the only really
annoying things I have found about it.

I don't use SuSE on any machines I can access at this instant. I suggest
you ask on the CLUG list  how other local users have their time set up
in SuSE.
