</span>sorry I've taken a while to respond .... can I ask what platform are you using<br>
- the original (boxy) unit? the unit we shipped from China (some of which<br>
suffered from overheating)? or a unit that I've replaced since?<br>

I expect an original unit to not perform as well as a current unit - I did<br>
some firmware changes on the newer devices to collect twice as much entropy<br>
per bit so the published results are expected to be better for the newer parts<br>
.... but not that bad.<br>

If you have one of the original made-in-China units that hasn't been replaced<br>
due to overheating I'd suggest replacing it, even though the year's warranty<br>
is almost up I will continue to replace those units<br>
