Happy to report that it is working on Devuan Beowulf.  I'm on an older 
kernel so I can choose either mode of operation via the 
ONERNG_FEED_KERNEL config flag and they both work.  Just needed to 
install python3-gpg package.  I'll take a deeper look over the next few 
days, but looks good so far.  Thanks Paul!
