Firmware verification failed, on move to other system

A OneRNG 1.0 was set up on an Ubunty 14.04 Trusty system, with package
onerng 3-1.1, and worked correctly, with logs showing:

Apr 17 20:17:03 sys1 OneRNG: firmware verification passed OK - version=3

With the orange LED showing depletion of entropy on demand.


Then the OneRNG was moved to another system, with the same software
configuration, but did not work correctly, logs show:

Apr 17 20:32:03 sys2 OneRNG: firmware verification failed: Bad image

I'm puzzled.  ;-)

Changing /etc/onerng.conf

	ONERNG_VERIFY_FIRMWARE="0"

And the message went away, and orange LED showing depletion of entropy
on demand.
