    <p>Yes, I was wondering how well these pasted-on tracks stay
      attached to the substrate, seeing that it is unlikely they are
      really bonded to it in any meaningful way... But there was
      something in the commentary indicating that they regarded it as a
      rapid prototyping approach, and also that they were using some
      sort of varnish or glue to keep it in place.</p>
    <p>It might be possible to put it through a normal conformal coating
      process to stabilise it.</p>
    <p>Somehow I got the impression, though, that the whole series is
      more about doing everything in the most circuitous way possible
      (pun semi-intentional), and that a reasonable engineering approach
      is therefore eschewed at almost any cost.  :)</p>
