<div dir="ltr"><div>I found the best way to get small quantities is to ask a supplier who buys their stock and then go to them. </div><div>e.g. I was after some heaving (5mm wall) 50x50 square tube and like you only wanted about 300mm. I'm wondering if anyone has a piece of aluminium bar (not pipe) that is about 16mm diameter laying around. I only need 300mm ish.<br>

It's for a CNC project so the type of aluminium doesn't matter.<br>

It's hard to find somewhere that will sell anything less than 5m in CHC. I spoke to Little Metals but they wanted $50 for 1m once shipping etc went on it. They don't do door sales any more.<br>
