<div dir="ltr">No idea on the use of a geodesic structure in a dome but for a half cylinder it works really well. I made mine in 2007 and other than extending them a couple of years later they have been fine during the big storm 6 or so years ago, all the earthquakes and still strong enough to take my weight when I climb over them. The dome concept from Buckminster Fuller (early 50s) might look good but not really practical!<div>I have used several coverings - tarp for a carport, wind cloth for shading, agricultural plastic for greenhouse and all survive nor-westers.
