I need some help. Recently I've been pondering on why my spark eroder only delivers 3 Amps on the onboard ammeter. It hadn't worried me before because it does work. It is rated for 10 Amp. I decided that the transformer is far too small to deliver 10 Amps.
I tried putting in a 120 volt 12 Amp and proved that the installed transformer is not capable but blew a power resister. Reading the book / specs again what I need is a wire wound, iron core, 230 volts to 75 volts AC and 10 Amp. The book uses 3 x 24volts AC
10Amp transformers in series.

Rudy and I would like to thank Russell, Stephen, Spencer and Brindsley to coming to the Stripper Party last night, between them they stripped over 70 system units, and made a huge dent on the scrap pile that we need to urgently process by the end of the week.
Legends!

We're having another party tonight at 6:30pm at 8b Wordsworth Street, so if anyone would like to come along and help that would be superb!

It's a lot of fun - imagine pulling stuff apart and not getting in trouble with your dad for doing so!

Hope to see you there,
It was great fun. It was interesting to see how various PC cases work
-- how easy it is to access any part on some, but on others, everything
got in the way of something else.

We had to make-do with the tools we had last night. Next time, I would
take the following:
cordless drill/driverlong driver bits, 150 mm or longer
Philips #2 or Pozidrive #2 -- Pozidrive bits work in Philips screws,
but not the other way around)Torx T15
any other driver bits and hand screwdrivers that you have -- you never
know what you will needside-cutters for cable tieslong-nose plierssmall
prybar for levering -- I used a 6 mm flat screwdrivercut-resistant
gloves (Ninja, Esko, etc). Leather will work but might be a bit
thickother PPE. There did not seem to be much danger from falling
objects, noise, dust, flying chips, sparks; use your common sense.
I am busy tonight, but would otherwise be happy to help.

Hope your move to the new premises goes well.

Thanks
