<div dir="auto">For etching circuit boards (copper) in the past I have used a mixture of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide. The internet tells me this will work on brass too. I've had better luck using a copper sulphate & hydrochloric acid mix. The<br>
former available from agricultural supplies (e.g. Fruitfed/PGGR) and the<br>
latter from a swimming pool shop.<br>

Way cheaper than ferric chloride (if you can even find it these days)<br>
