Early in the evening, the hoards descended on the scrap angle ali pile. After consulting with Rory at BR05, a price of $3 per meter was agreed. Sales netted something over $60 cash, and an IOU note for $24. Also, the ‘small’ 10kV single phase transformer sold for $60 including a small pile of various other items. Monies were directly deposited in the brown BR05 donation box next to the radio room.<br>

A new member turned up to see what the group was about – welcome.<br>

Synco gave a tutorial about use of 16 bit timer/counters (as on board the Atmega328 etc.) to a small gathering around the white-board.<br>

William has been working on his LCD watch/display, with Atmel Leonardo (ATmega32u4) controller. Progress is being made developing drivers, as is the main application.<br>

Rudy talked about podcasts, including the Dave Jones EEV blog. He also ran through some of his favourite ‘casts.<br>

Synco talked about his thermal imaging camera which attaches to his smart phone. Unit was a ‘SeekThermal IR’ unit.<br>

Graham talked about progress of his spark eroder project (which he presented about three years ago). He then moved onto some modelling work he had done using hard foam.<br>

Andrew discussed his experience with remote VR goggles from a model aircraft. Also mentioned his trampolining business in Bromley.<br>
