I think I found the fault.<br>

It has a dual processor and the other day the buttons were still working but the digital readout was not. After a bit of fault finding, the encoders were all doing the right things.<br>
<br>
Started checking the connectors and chips one at time for loose connections.<br>
<br>
Spot the fault on one of the processors !!!<br>
