Sounds perfect for solving simple optimization problems 8)
This thing sounds crazy, is it a have to see it to believe it jobbie?

Hi All,

I have been looking at a rather large and very noisy, and very very power hungry blade server made by IBM around 2005.

24 x (1G RAM, 74G HD, 3G Xeon processor -- HS12), with 4 PSUs, each capable of 2kW

As well as console and quad NIC, there are several other interesting plug in cards on the frame.

I am probably being wildly optimistic that it might be possible to run and open source Linux x 24 on this beast without having to take a small percentage of a lifetime to learn the pre-requisites.

Does anyone have any experience with such a setup before it goes to meet it's maker ?
