Hi All,

I just received an unexpected invite to host/post the AMPS base station
project

Anyone heard of these guys ?

I just have a nagging feeling...

Also, no interest in commercializing the AMPS project.

Anyway, thoughts appreciated

Subject: love to have your project on Suprmasv

Hey Mark,

I’m Kirin, program manager for Suprmasv. We’re giving hackers, modders,
tinkerers and inventors the tools to share their best hardware and
software projects -- and allowing anyone to follow their progress and
support them with real dollars. We think of it as a combination of
GitHub, Kickstarter and Etsy. No platform like this currently exists, but
it will soon :)

When we came across your AMPS base station, we immediately thought, “We’d
love to have this on our site!”
(No doubt you've built many interesting things since then, too.)

We’d like you to be one of our first 100 users, posting this and other
projects on our (admittedly rough) site and offering feedback as we push
updates to the site each day.

Here are the things you can now do on Suprmasv:
create a project, supported by images and video, which your audience can
follow
post blog entries about your project to keep followers up to speed
post bounties to get work done on your project or on someone else's
project
communicate/interact with your audience in forums and real-time chat
allow people to support you financially at two levels: 1) as backers who
receive “dev care” and 2) as members of your inner circle, where the
higher price gets them direct chat, early access, even mentorship. It’s
up to you what you want to offer.

The steps are simple:
You post a project on Suprmasv -- a short description with photos,
videos, code, etc.
People follow your project and some back you (ie, give a donation) so you
can continue your efforts. Backers might love what you're doing so much
that they want to pay you for support. Our platform allows them to do
just that, at a price you choose.
Allow people into your inner circle. These folks can watch development in
real time, have direct access to you via chat, whatever you like. And you
set the price. If you don’t want an inner circle, that’s fine as well.
Get paid.

In return for your feedback, we’ll work extra hard to make sure you’re
successful in building community and generating interest around your
work.

I’m happy to chat if you have questions or want more details -- just send
me your Skype ID or phone number and when (generally) it’s best to reach
you.

Please join us -- you’ll be in good company!

all best,
Kirin
