Having spent 15 years living in California, I have taken it for granted

that most of my associates have heard of, or participated with

SRL.<br><br>

I guess I slipped a cog, because this should have been mentioned

earlier...

The group is more based on interactive (read: dangerous) art, and forget

all of those diddly little things in robot wars, some of these units mean

business (powered by the odd V8 etc).<br><br>

My first introduction was attending a demo of a pneumatic device that

launched 2m florescent tubes up against the side of a rather tall

building in San Francisco. Attempt to use to much gas and the lamps get

crushed before they even leave the launch tube.<br><br>

Someone also turned up with a real V1 mounted on a low loader, that was

quite a loud exhibit --

was stolen from.<br><br>

More for the amusement of the creators, but if the crowds enjoyed the

exhibits, then all the better...<br><br>
