The FTDI USB interface chip can also be used to program ATMEGA/Arduino as an ICSP *without* a bootloader.<BR>

The Diecimila or Duemilanove uses a FTDI chip, and can be easily modded to work as a ICSP (programming either the onboard atmega, or an atmega on your own board).<BR>

I haven't tried this yet, but it is a good solution for those of us that don't have a separate ICSP cable.<BR>
