Hello everyone,

Good turnout with 20 attendees, and lots of huddles-of tech-talk. $24 +
change (in gold, and flat-money) collected and transferred into the
robotics loose-change jar (for later banking).

All sales from the trading table should go into the brown box on the
wall, and are directly for the benefit of our host club, NZART Branch 05.

Equipment donations are welcome for the trading table, but no CRT based
product, printers, toner or items that are likely to be a disposal burden.

With thanks on behalf of the group,

Mark Atherton

----------------------------------

Mark started the evening with a discussion about moving the Robotics
meetings towards being compliant with the NZ Government COVID-19
Protection Framework Mandate. After some discussion, the group (20
members) unanimously agreed that during COVID-19 RED state, a message
would be broadcast via email prior to all affected meetings, politely
asking non-vaccinated visitor to not attend.

William talked about his latest acquisition; another Compaq,
luggable-PC, complete with dial-up modem, having hens-teeth appeal.

Andy Gardner passed around some 9V USB charged Li-Ion batteries. An
interesting new take, on old chemistry.

Graham Christie gave a V-interesting talk on the preparation and casting
of a large bronze casting. This item has been installed in the
Christchurch Botanic Gardens in early November 2021.

David brought in a solid-state high power medical laser. Wonderful piece
of engineering from a different world.

Andrew talked about the test-tube-position project associated with the
Swiss COVID analysis project.
