I could not find the parts I wanted on aliexpress and the USA made parts price
was very expensive.
I found them on taobao.com. The site takes some navigation as it is in
Chinese. I think that taobao is the equivalent to ebay in China.
I found there are several forwarding companies that collect the goods from
Taobao and forward to NZ. There are mixed reviews about them all but I tried
https://tbfocus.com. They also have English Taobao pages.
I paid for the goods from 2 different suppliers, tbfocus received both items,
sent me photograph of each and then repackaged them and shipped EMS to NZ. The
freight was a bit high, $81 US but the bag did weigh 3.2 kg.
It took about 3 days from the time of purchase to get to the warehouse, 3 days
to collate the goods and ship and I received them 7 days later so I cant
really complain.
They can collate up to 32 items (from memory) and repack them if required.
A good option for those non standard items. I bought cam lock studs for my
lathe.
There are several methods you can use to find your items. I use google
translate to translate into Chinese and then copied and pasted the translation
into my search bar.
Will probably use them again.
This may be a better option in some cases to aliexpress. Often, you cant buy
all the items from one supplier and end up paying postage several times. Here
you can collate and pay once.
I think they make their money in the freight charge but claim they don't. They
even have live online support for 2 hours a day where you chat to a real
person. !!!
